Founding member of Olivia Tremor Control, Bill Doss, has died at the age of 43. It was announced via the Olivia Tremor Control website, which is currently having bandwidth problems. No cause of death is known at this moment.

Bill Doss founded the band Olivia Tremor Control with Jeff Mangum, who would go on to make Neutral Milk Hotel, and Will Cullen Hart. He was also a co-founder of The Elephant Six Recording Company, which hosted his own band, Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montreal and many others. He has been a very important part of the indie music community. May he rest in peace.
