LIVE MUSIC - WHAT TO WEAR

Dressing for a music concert or festival can take a bit more consideration than your average day wear. While you still want to put together a stylish outfit, it really pays to plan your look around the type of gig you're attending. From festivals and packed out arenas to underground gigs, comfort is your key to enjoying the experience of live music. You don't want to be caught out with an annoying oversized bag, accessories which won't make it out of a moshpit or having to constantly re-arrange your strapless dress.
The Music Festival:

Channel Kate Bosworth and Alessandra Ambrosio with t-shirts and denim cut-offs as your staple basics for a festival because your outfit is the last thing you want to have to think about while making your way through massive crowds. Team with sandals if you'll be skimming the outskirts of the mosh, or opt for boots if you'll be right amongst it. Keep accessories to the bare minimum with just a watch to keep you on schedule, and a flat shoulder bag to hold your money, cards, lip balm, sunscreen and program.

The Arena Concert:

When you've got a reserved seat for an arena concert you can definitely afford to add a few more accessories to complete your look. Think a little rock but still feminine, a la Audrina Patridge, with skinny jeans and a tank (probably something a little more dressy than Audrina's choice). A dark tank with dark jeans will look instantly less casual when worn with girly accessories (PEARLS, PEARLS, PEARLS!) and colourful flats (leave the heels at home).

The Underground Gig:

To achieve a look with a bit more edge try out a floral or patterned skirt, with a leather jacket (cropped, bomber, any really!) and boots (match the color of the boots to that of the jacket). If you want a bit of a softer look, try an oversized shirt instead of leather and loafers for added quirk. Aim for bolder jewellery, cute earrings and timeless black cluth to keep the outfit feminine.
